So this week my exercising hasn't been top notch...wednesday I only did 17 min, and yesterday I skipped. Today for lunch I had broccoli cauliflower and asparagus....I went to the gym and felt SOOO good! I could have gone forever! I did 15 min of weight training, and 30 on the eliptical, nonstop (i usually take a 15-20 sec break at the 15 min mark). Is this coincidental or do you think the veggies fueled my workout? Usually for lunch I have some type of leftover casserole dish...so this is a change for me.

Important vitanutrients that fuel muscles, nah its no a coincidence.
This actually helps the notion of why Veggies are so important. Its not just a carb thing. Your body and muscles feed off of everything you put into it.
kinda like a car. Say you have a higher performance vehicle, You run regular gas on that sucker(the meat and cheese diet), it will run, but not compared to when you run 100 octane gas on it....you are a beast!335/265/230

I know some people are strictly by the book, but I had to modify to fit my workout program and my body, which is what is important.
Before I found ADBB, I was using the 90s version of DANDR where OWL didn't have rungs. You just added carbs back at 5gram increments. I was already eating from most every rung except legumes, alcohol and upper fruits. But I never eat a lot of any one thing.
I did Induction for 4 weeks, then went to OWL. I'm doing some serious working out with a trainer and as we increased intensity, I was running out of steam before we were halfway through my workout. Last week, I was feeling out of control, although I didn't cheat or anything, so I decided to go back to Induction. That lasted 2 days. I could barely handle my workout and was miserable.
So I went back to doing modified OWL like I was before, and upped my carbs to the 30-40 gram (sometimes 45, but rarely) range. I can now handle my workouts again.
I eat a variety of foods and my percentages are good. My fat is dropping a smidge, my carbs are up a smidge and my proteins are good - if I'm low on protein, then I have some 1g carb protein powder.
Listen to your body. I'm not talking about listening to the cravings, etc... I'm talking about listening to what it needs, and that will be different for every person.
