Last night I was feeling bummed out, not about the diet, but just stress...just had a blah day yesterday...diet wasn't going BAD, but I just felt like I am losing weight as slow as a turtle or something...then this morning I wake up, and put on my jeans, I don't think I've worn them in about a week...and they are LOOSE! So that totally brightened my day and gave me and extra dose of motivation. I haven't really been able to tell I have lost anything until now, besides the numbers on the scale. The scale can stay where it is for all I care, I just want my clothes to fall off of me! hehe. Then I went to the store, and just bit my lip as I shelled out $190 for 2 weeks worth of groceries...writing that check didn't feel good, but man I am STOCKED! So nooo running out of food this time!

Yes unexpected motivation is just what keeps me going...I am pretty easily excited, so even tiny things like this really pump me up! Yesterday I didn't go work out because I had a major headache and felt like throwing up, I think it was just my bad day, but today I am going to add 10 mins to my workout. I figure I should go ahead and do it on my super motivation day, it will be a lot easier. Oh yeah, I didn't just buy food, I got toilet paper, papertowels, sponges, shampoo, ketostix...all the non food stuff was about $30-$40...and I bet I spent almost 100 on Matt...I got him a super big box of pizza rolls, 4 digiornos...basically if i buy HIM a lot he doesn't get so pissy when I buy a lot of low carb stuff...

Where the heck are you people shopping. $50 for two weeks??? Even $190 for two weeks is actually pretty good. God, we spend about $150 a week for me, my fiance, and my 1 year old. The heck with this state I'm moving to texas. You guys can probably buy a house for under $300,000 also. :anger not fair.

Oh I thought it was all on food! yeah I understand all those needed Items.
Maybe now that he has all that food he won't be tempted to dive into yours when he is hungry....I swear that drives me nuts when people do that.
The next person that takes my entire supply of cucumbers and decide to make a huge salad for themselves I am going to have a coniption fit :raving335/265/230

ROFL! He will not touch my food...I've tried to feed him some casseroles and yummy stuff but he won't get near it and even makes gagging sounds when I cook fish lol. Oh and Shelby, we shop at SuperWalmart. I have done TONS of research on cheapest grocery stores, buying the SAME item, and here's the list of whats cheapest:Originally posted by FightingTheFightOh I thought it was all on food! yeah I understand all those needed Items.

1.Walmart
2.HEB Pantry
3.Randall's
4.Kroger
I try not to shop at Kroger bc it is so expensive, but there are 2 right near my house, and superwalmart is like 15 min away, so sometimes when I just need odds and ends I hit up Kroger or Randalls. No HEB near where we live now
Oh yeah, and I used to live in Birmingham...we had a house built in the 70's, 3 bedroom...not super nice, but not run down...sold for $170,000....came to Houston, and bought a 4 year old 4 bedroom Kimball Hill Home (very nice) for $150,000! (PARENTS not me. by the way! lol) Texas has the cheapest cost of living of any state I've ever lived in...our minimum wage is low though! $5.15! hehe.~*~Clare~*~

I shop at Kroger since its only a few minutes from my house. I try to get to Walmart supercent alot of the time since I get a 10% discount. Its not much but it helps with tax and what not.
Shelby, I've seen nice 2bed 2 bath apartments go for 4-6 hundred.
depends on the area, apartments can be expensive or cheap.
Houses are different though. MY sisters 2 storyLake house which is 3 bedroom/1 huge bathroom and 1 regular bathroom, a swimming pool went for 145,000. Not to mention its a nice area :nod335/265/230

Fiance and I live in a decent area, in very nice apartments...we have a 2 bedroom, I forget the sq footage but it's really roomy, 14 foot ceilings in the living room, kitchen with bar, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer included...we pay $797 a month. Wish I had some pics of our apt and I would post them up for you! The best part though, is it's on the 2nd floor, but the door is downstairs, and the stairs are inside, so it has a house feel. I fell in love with it as soon as I came to look at it. There are a lot of 2 bedrooms that are pretty nice, not upscale, but nice, from about $500-$700...we really got an awesome deal on ours.Originally posted by shelbyquinn03079Holy cow you can't even buy a one bedroom condo around here for 150 anymore. What is rent like around there? Average two bedroom apt is about $1,000 here.~*~Clare~*~

I just spent 90 bucks yesterday at Walmart and we are stocked. Of course my husband eats low carb and so does my daughter (5). Her favorite is raw celery and raw cauliflower with ranch..lol!
We bought our house almost 5 years ago right near Lake Houston and paid 151K for it. It's 3400 sq feet 2 story....i cant imagine paying 150K for a condo!

That's it I'm moving to texas with all you people. LOL. Too hot. Hot isn't bad as long as it isn't wicked muggy. (wicked lol probably a new england term). The other day was 100 here and it really wasn't so bad because it was dry with a breeze. Today is only about 83 and sweat starting pouring down my face and my baby's face about 5 mintues after being outside. I bet it matters what part of Texas though.

yes...it does. I'm in Humble, Texas which is near Houston. It's probably 96 or so outside right now with about 75% humidity. The humidity hasnt been to bad here lately since we are going through a dry spell (which is really CRAZY for uS!). Normally humidity is running about 150% and it's just unbearable. Our light bill was 300 bucks this month and that's with it set on 80 all day. So it's pretty gosh dang hot here!

The Washington, DC area houses are so expensive. We paid $68,000 for our house 3 blocks from the Chesapeake Bay, 20 years ago. We just had it appraised, it appraised for $310,000! We bought the lot next to our house for $10,000 cause we didn't want someone living right next to us, we had an offer about a month ago from a Real Estate Agent, he offered us $67,000 for the lot and it doesn't perk! We didn't take it because we plan to build on to our house and some of that building on will take up some of the lot.
We spend probably around $110 a week for groceries. That's just for me and my DH. We used to spend a lot more, cause we always had several flavors of ice cream around and we ate dessert every night, we had lots of different rice/potato mixes, fresh fruit all sorts of things that we no longer buy.Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"
