    ok i started this diet at 260 and im now down to 240 in about a month. thats 20 pounds i mean im proud as heck. but seems like for the last week ive been stuck at 240 and i fluctuate between 240-245. i guess i need to back off the scales. cause its really disappointing me. i know a stall is like 4 weeks im just a litle worried. thanks for letting me complain.

    Start taking your measurements every 2 weeks (go to www.mybodycomp.com). WAY more effective and truthful than those silly scales! You're shrinking even when the scale goes up....

        I posted that last post really fast, 'cause I was on hold on the phone. Let me give you some more reassurance!

        Last time I did this, I lost in CHUNKS. I'd drop maybe 3-5 lbs, then pause for a week or two, then another 4-5 lbs, then pause, then another 3-4.

        The body doesn't lose POUNDAGE consistently, because first of all, there's water retention issues, second of all there's the fun fun fun of TOM, and third of all, the body needs to take a breather after each loss, to sort of consolidate what is left.

        I think you will find, as you track your weight loss, that this is true for you and most of us.

        Now, on the other hand, I never ever went 2 weeks without a big change in my measurements. This is how I kept myself motivated.

        I know it's hard not to worry, but give your body a chance!!! Metaphorically speaking, we can all run 10 miles, but we may have to stop and rest periodically before we finish the run.
