Re: REALLY miss my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Not really. I miss it too.
However, there are so many delicious foods to try that it's pretty easy to put the Kraft stuff out of your mind for awhile....

Re: REALLY miss my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
I know what you guys are talking about the macarroni and cheese. I remember speaking with a friend and she asked me about my macarroni fixation, I told her it was a comfort food. Later on I found out that it wasn't a "comfort food" at all, it was really a major part of my addiction. It was nice of her not to point that out to me, i'm sure she knew the truth the whole time. This may not apply to you guys but I'm grateful that I can stay away from that stuff now. Geez I'd take feeling beautiful over macarroni and cheese anyday.

Re: REALLY miss my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Someone already mentioned broccoli or cauliflower with cheese sauce. I make a mean chicken broccoli alfredo. I think alfredo sauce is the ultimate comfort food. Kraft macaroni isn't even that good!!!
Try this instead:
Melt 1 tbsp. butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add 3 tbsp. heavy cream and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Heat over medium for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently. The sauce should thicken as it heats. In a separate pan, saute chicken pieces in olive oil until cooked thoroughly. Add raw chopped broccoli to the alfredo sauce for the last 3-4 minutes so it cooks, then pour entire mixture over chicken.
It's so good, and it's induction friendly.

Re: REALLY miss my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Kraft mac&cheese was one of my comfort foods as well....but you know...when I look at a piece of broccoli or cauliflower and a piece of cheese, I get all the good things they contain, and I know what effect that will have on my body.
When I look at the label of Kraft m&c, I really have no idea what monosomethingorother and all those other chemicals will do to my system and it shocks me that I used to think of that as a legitimate food.
Thinking nutritionally rather than emotionally has really opened my eyes.

Re: REALLY miss my Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
I used to miss pasta, mac n cheese, and other high carb foods. But after several months on extended induction I find that I really don't like breads and pasta anymore. I had some recently and I could barely eat it. YUCK! My tastes have really changed a lot and even though I occasionally cheat. I really do prefer this WOE more.Michelle,
