Somehow I seem to be stuck at 203lbs. I may be in a stall not sure. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. The day I get below 200lbs I swear I will throw a huge party!! lol. ANd these unmoving 3lbs have me baffled.

Are you exercising? drinking plenty of water? I know alot of people find that cheese, heavy cream, splenda or even caffeine may stall them. Maybe try cutting back on some of these items and see if that helps. Up the exercise or up the water! I'm sure you will get that 3 wooshie soon!

      Re: stuck

It took me what seemed like forever to drop from 202 to under 200.

First, consider moving to OWL. Weight loss slows for most people on Extended Induction and often moving to OWL and adding some carbs will get your loss moving again. Even though in induction you don't count calories, you do need to make sure once you're done with the first two weeks, that you are getting enough calories, or your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto that fat!

Consider upping your water intake and upping your exercise. As your body changes, you have to change with it.

Also, as frustrating as it is, we all lose differently - I lose one week out of the month and that is usually only 2-4 pounds. The rest of the time, I guess my body is contemplating the previous loss and deciding if I'm serious about this weight loss stuff! I keep telling it that 30+ pounds is serious, so get over it and let go of that weight!

I too think I am at a stall I have been on atkins since june 1. and lost about 17-18lbs. I have been stuck at 181 for almost a week and a half. I noticed sunflower seeds at the check out counter at the grocery it has 3 carbs per package..so I had been eating about 2 packages per day this last week....and didn't lose a pound...? I stopped eating them this week and we will see how it turns out

A stall is defined as no inches OR pounds lost for 4 weeks. There is a good stiky on this forum called 'Weightloss is not Linear' which you ought to read to reassure you that it is perfectly normal to go a few weeks without losing

As for the sunflower seeds - it is not till you get to OWL that you are supposed to have them in quanties like you have been having them.
The Nuts and Seeds rung (rung 3) allows you to add one ounce of these per day
I dont have my DANDR at work but am sure that Dr Atkins counted one ounce of nuts/seeds as the equivalent of 5 net carbs - regardless of the actual carb count.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I sat at 200 for a month before getting (finally) into Onderland. It seemed like forever, but just keep on doing what your doing and eventually you'll get there, and you'll feel FANTASTIC!!!

I've only lost a pound in the last 3 weeks. I'm exercising my butt off (literally) drinking tons of water. I think my body is in some kind of pause/readjust phase. TOM is due on Wednesday, after I start, I'm gonna get out the ol' measuring tape and see if I've lost inches.

Went to my daughter's 25th birthday party on Saturday, got lots of compliments on my weight loss.

I had a long, long pause last time right before I got to 199. I just stayed at 203, 201, 202 for weeks. Tried everything! Eliminated foods, added fat, even did the fat fast. Nothing worked. And then, one day, I woke up and was 198 lbs!

I think our bodies have "weight memories" and will linger at certain spots where we previously were for a long time....
