Help....Can't eat because of pain!

Hey friends....

I am in pain....I bite my lip about 4 days ago and it became
swollen. Now since I have bitten it 2-3 other times while
it was healing I have a big ulcer on my lip. It hurts and keeps
my stomach nauseated...I have no appetite because of this
and am so weary I will bite it again .

Is there anything you can use (OTC) to clear this up?
Only cool water feels good on it....This is really
aggrivating to me . I am uncomfortable and don't
take to pain well.

Neosporin LT - it has pain relievers in it, made especially for the lips. I've used it this past weekend in fact for a sun-blister on my lip from boating all weekend.

It works wonderfully!

I was up early this am with pain cause my mouth
dried out while I was sleeping and that darn ulcer
HURT......Tired of this!

Sounds like it may have turned into herpes. There's Abbrevia (I think) available otc and it works WONDERS. I mean, you'll feel better by the end of the day. Expensive ($15 for a tiny tube) but I have had my tube for a year and am not even half way thru it, it works so well.

My son bit through his lip earlier this summer and it was swelled and wouldn't heal. A dentist friend of ours just called in a topical perscription for him and it was gone within a couple of days. You might want to ask the doctor if they can call something in for you.
