  • Davinci Sugar Free Syrup Question

I have begun using the DaVinci Sugar Free flavored syrups. My question is - does this go against my sweetener allottment? I was told that splenda in the liquid form such as the syrup does not count towards your powdered form of sweetener for daily use.

    True or False?

I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

    False.

You may opt not to count liquid sweeteners as 1 net carb (to account for any carby additives, such as the "natural flavorings" in sodas), but each serving of sweetener counts towards the daily 3 limit. The Induction Rules are listed twice in DANDR 2002. The first time is in Chapter 11. The second time is in Chapter 17 or 18. The servings rule is in the second listing of the Induction rules.

I forgot to add. Each "serving" size is detailed on the label of the product. So for the Davinci Syrups it's 1 to 2 tablespoons depending on the syrup.

Interestingly, one of the powdered Stevia packets has 2 servings per packet. I can't remember which brand that is but, it's always wise to read the labels thoroughly.
