Re: scared
Well, the book talks about it and also has a little test to take. Have you read it. Also, you can check out the FAQ section. There is something there about when to move on. You really need to move on when you get close to your goal.
don't be afraid of this diet. ADkins wont steer you wrong.

Re: scared
Read read read up on it.
The first rung is just 5 carbs more veggies. Start from there. You don't need to progress up the OWL ladder over any one specific time frame, so stay on the veggie rung for a while if you want. There's no rush to zoom up the ladder (unless you're very close to goal) so take your time. When you're ready for the next rung then move on to it and take your time there, checking it all out.

Re: scared
I know my weight loss has slowed, but I've LOVED being on OWl.. it's something I can live with...even if I never go any further up the ladder (I'm on nuts seeds I think... )
OWL lets me eat my beloved low carb blue bunny yogurt without guilt, blueberries, and nuts..... that's a big big deal for me....
the first rung is just a few more veggies... it's no big deal... jump in .. you'll love it!2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!
2-20-10 190.4 - new scale
3-20-10 177.8 - 1 month
5-10-10 169.8 - 25 pounds gone!
