  • Need Help!

I know that some people get brain fog around here. But isn't it usually in the beginning of Atkins? I have been on for 2 months and it is getting worse. I am controlling the yeast right now so that should not be the problem. I am forgetting things, losing things left and right. My husband is telling me to seriously see a doctor. He thinks is coincides with me doing Atkins, which whether or not that is the case, it has. I am actually a little scared at how bad it has been. I am 36 years old and have always been a little forgetful. I used to joke about getting early Alzheimers but now I am seriously a little nervous and my husband is worried.

Has anyone else experienced this brain fog this severe and for this long??

I agree with your husband, and think you should go see a doctor. It could be something else that is wrong. Go get checked out, you will feel lots better knowing then you will not knowing.

I get brain fog pretty bad when my thyroid meds are off and my TSH is too high.

          Re: Need Help!

Last week I had done the spit test for yeast and it said that I had it. So I have been off cheese and mushrooms and all since then. I attibuted the brain fog to that. Since then I have added acidipholous and physillium husks to my diet. I have not been taking my multi-vitamin on a regular basis. But then again, I never did.

I have been eating eggs, chicken, lettuce, jicama, broccoli/cauliflower salad, cream cheese in small amounts, coffee... normal stuff. My weight started to move since I stopped eating cheese, but I have been having an ounce a day on some days lately. My husband seriously thinks it is the diet. I can definitely track it to then. He thinks maybe there is something in the carbs that I am missing now! It is actually kinda scary to me because I am starting not to trust myself. I am a teacher so I am off now and can't even attribute it to stress/work!

Uggh! Maybe I should take that supplement that is supposed to help with memory, hmmm, what is it again?? Yeah, that sounds funny but I really don't remember what it's called!! I feel so spacey!
