I am back from Hawaii and since I gained no weight there I have gotten home with this attitude that I can have a slip up here and there but it has been going on for like 3 days now. I know what I am doing and I can't control myself to stop. Is it bc I had made my goal for the Hawaii trip or is it plain laziness in my commitment. I quit smoking the same day I started eating bad. I promised my daughter and husband I would quit so I can't go back!!! Please someone give me some advice or your experience with a similar experience.

chefk the addiction forum we have many folk who quit smaoking and did Atkins induction at the same timew so it is possible. your brain has a welth of comfort memeories based on foods you have consumed in the past and si tr5ying very hard to get you through this stress it is feeling with things that will calm you and turen off the chems it is getting.
You can find other things to do this as with cigs after 3 days the dependency is mental not chemical to quote our great host peter.
Focus on your nest goal and forget that you ever made goal for your trip. Think I am X and I want to be Y, not I was A got to X and now will try for Y but I know cause I was A I can make this work and will try harder some other time.

Here's motivation...I lost forty pounds my first time on Atkins and slipped for about a year and gained all that back so now I am back to plan one- induction (extended). You don't want to gain all that weight and more do you? You're trip was a special occasion but now it's time to get back to life and that includes staying true to the Atkins WOL! You can do it!

FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS! I'm a fine one to talk. I was bad for around 3 weeks. My excuses it's my b-day it's my anniversary blah blah blah. I finally had to slap myself yesterday and say...."YOUR NOT GONNA MAKE YOUR GOAL BY DOING THIS!!" Just remember why your doing this! Your doing it for a better healthier life not to mention look great too! PM me whenever we live in the same town and are the same weight too!

Thank you all for the encouragement. I have gained back 3 pounds and that makes me feel horrible. I just can't believe how quick I can turn off all the willpower and committment I had for those 3 months. I have done great today and have been drinking all my water.
