  • I know I shouldn't be....

But I am frustrated. I know I'll get over it but I had a plan for my weight loss goals and my body is just not sticking to it! I know, I know I weigh myself tooooooo much and I promise to ya'll and myself that I will put the darn scale away and only bring it out once in awhile. I'm on the end of my 3rd week doing extended induction. During the first 2 weeks of induction I lost 12 pounds...so I should probably stop complaing now! Last Sat. I weighed 198 during this week I've gone down to 196.2 and today I'm up to 197.2! UGHH! It's not TOM cause I had that last week. I haven't cheated. Well I'm gonna review what I've eaten and see if I see the problem. If not I'm gonna keep doin' what I'm doin' and see what happens. It's just frustrating when you have goals and you don't reach them. I had weekly goals which I guess is not a good idea!

PS I do drink tons of water
PPS I am doing the couch to 5k on my treadmill

Thanks for listening to me whine!

    You've read this?

It sounds like you're on the right track by putting the scale away and just living your life and doing the diet....honestly, it's not worth watching that scale bobble up and down like it does...it'll drive you nuts. You do your part by eating and exercising properly, and your body will respond....maybe not according to the timetable you want it to respond in, but it will respond.
Think of it like as if you were growing your hair out....if you measure it every day, it's going to seem like it's not getting longer, but if you just take it out of that ponytail once in a while you'll be amazed at the changes!

Yeah, sometimes you really shouldn't worry about the scale, because if you weigh on a day to day basis it will discourage you

Your goals should reflect eating/workout habits instead of weight.
One thing I did was to set goals via the 6WEC.

Definitely enter the new 6WEC and set some goals for yourself and then report every day. It really helps.

Take the batteries out and give them to someone to hide them. You lost 12 lbs really quickly...give your body a chance to figure things out. Keep your focus on the future and what you'll be seeing in a month. Weigh and write the number down or plug it into Fit Day and then take those darn batteries out or put the scale away somewhere really inconvienent. Tell yourself it needs a vacation. Then weigh a month from now. You'll be jumping up and down with happiness and then you'll need to come here and tell us all about it!
