Is it possible that I'm not losing because I'm not eating enough food? I am used to Weight Watchers where I had 3 small meals a day and I think that could be part of the reason why I'm stuck.
well that is possible why don't you give us some more info like how long you have been doiing your current phase what your exercise program is how much you are actually eating and what it is, what supplements, and or meds you are taking and how long you have been stuck and is it just scale weight stuck or inches lost too stuck.
Plateaus are very common in weight loss body morphing and Dr Atkins has a whoole chapter about them ans possible causes in DANDR chapter 15
how long you have been doiing your current phase - I'm in week 4
what your exercise program - I work out at Curves 3 days a week for 30 minutes
how much you are actually eating and what it is - Sample daily menu for me is eggs for breakfast with either a couple slices of bacon or sausage patties; lunch is always a salad with grilled chicken; dinner is usually some kind of hamburger or chicken, sometimes shrimp, with another small salad and another vegetable like broccoli or green beans.
what supplements - I've had a total of 3 of the Atkins breakfast bars since I started.
meds you are taking - I'm on a nose spray (I don't remember the name) for allergies, 1 Zyrtec daily, birth control and 10 mg. Lexapro for anxiety
how long you have been stuck - for about a week and a half now even though I haven't cheated!
is it just scale weight stuck or inches lost too stuck - I haven't taken my measurements, only weighed myself on the scale...that evil thing!
Actually the bars aren't supplements, 2big would be referring to vitamin supplements (very important). Teh bars stall many ppl as you will see on alot of the threads on this board, and contain sugar alcohols that can cause gas and digestive issues, and i don't believe the ingredients in most are induction friendly. I'd leave them out for now.
Also are you ensuring you are getting the right %'s of fat, carbs protein? you can open an account at www.fitday.com that will help you track it.
Also it's not really at stall at a week and a half..you're still doing fine, it's a good idea though to measure as well as weigh..you can be losing inches as well as pounds.
Here is a good thread posted by Moochiecat about the speed of weight loss:
I'm by no means an expert but are you putting butter on your veggies for some fat? And depending on your salad sizes, you may need to cut back to just one salad (like your lunch) and then 1 cup of veggies (like your broccoli or green beans) at dinner. Just a thought. Let's see what the experts say.
To repeat what others have said, measure yourself with a tape measure rather than the scale. (I know it's hard not to hop on the scale, so maybe hide it) Take a daily multivitamin. A stall is really no movement in weight AND inches for like 2 months or something. Your body has it's own schedule and it's impossible to figure it out. So just keep eating the right way and excercising and drinking TONS of water and the weight will eventually come off. And try to stay positive...there are so many people on this board that have proved that with hard work and perserverence, a healthier you is obtainable on this WOL.
