  • Coffee is my problem!

    About two weeks ago, I started with a cup of coffee for breakfast. A couple days later, I had one mid-day at the office. And now, I am drinking a couple cups every day (black). I had not touched caffine for the first part of this WOE and was making steady progress. Since putting coffee into my regular routine, I have not lost a bit. I just weighed this morning, and am exactly where I was a week ago. Everything else is the same, excersize, food etc. I completely understand that weight loss in not linier and this may be a natural 'comfort weight,' but I think I will drop the coffee for a week to see if there is a change.

    Has anyone else had this result?

    I can't say that I have had this problem. I never gave up my coffee, even on induction. I make myself a latte every morning with Carb Countdown milk and occasionally have an extra cup of coffee at work every few days or so. I also drink diet colas with caffeine. I think it affect people differently. Maybe someone else has the same problem as you do??? I hope you get an answer.

      Besides the caffiene issue did you know Coffee has a chem in it that raises cholesterol too?

      what liquid did you replace with the coffee? if it was a cold drink you technically added the cals of the heat of the coffee and lost the cals burned rrfrom the post cold drink rewarming of your drink and body.

      Drop the coffee and see what happenes to your Atkins.
