Whats the deal with caffeine? Will it stop weight loss? I have had good results since I started and I don't want them to stop. I was just wondering if caffeine would stop weight loss of just bring back cravings.

Re: Caffeine??
It's an absolute YMMV thing. Some people retain water with caffeine, get the munchies, stall... some don't. For some caffeine actually works as appetite supressant or stimulates the metabolism.
If you have made a clean induction and can live comfortably without caffeine, I would not add it back. Getting rid of any kind of drug or probable addiction is good for all of us. A lot of people here have been addicted big time to coffee or caffeinated diet sodas.
If you miss it, just try what works for you....

Re: Caffeine??
Theres no real biggy about it other than it stimulates your heart and can cause hunger because it affects your glucose. if you have some...do it with your morning exercise.335/265/230

Re: Caffeine??
Never gave it up. I did give up diet soda, but the coffee stayed. It hasn't caused me any problems but I always make sure I have something high in fat when I drink my coffee.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Caffeine??
I'd say try to give it up for a couple of weeks, see how you feel how your loss is etc then try adding it back if you wish.
it's never bothered me personally either, though i did start making 'half caff' coffee, i mix decaf and reg grinds togehter..tastes like normal coffee to me. cuts my intake in half.Jen, 39, F
