I'm so depressed! I have gained back 5 pounds! I have multiple schlerosis, it has come back with a vengence so I have not been able to exercise for the past two weeks. I feel so helpless, there is nothing I can do but wait for the symptoms to pass, pull myself together again and start all over with the exercise. Most of the gals in my MS support group are overweight and they use the MS as their excuse not to exercise, even when they are symptom free. I understand that I seem to have a very mild case of MS, but I also believe that is because I make myself get going and exercise when I'm well. I am also trying a new medication, that could be making me gain weight, it's just so hard, sometimes I just want to give up! well, that's all, just felt like venting. I'll be my cheerful self again soon!

Re: Gained 5 pounds!
America57 I'm so sorry you're experiencing difficulties. You are having a setback and will hopefully return symptom free in no time. Until then just take care of yourself and that means keeping you energy up by eating low carb and drinking your water. Watch your weight because it could be the medicine! But don't obsess about it- you've come too far now to let 5 pounds distract you from you success of 40+ pounds!

Re: Gained 5 pounds!
Chriss, I am so sorry for what you are going through. Regarding exercise, maybe you could speak with your physician about a cardio machine called the TORSO? I see it at 24 Hour Fitness when I travel, and you only use your arms for this machine. It's like a recumbent bike for the arms!Sheila, Founder of SugarFreeSheila.com

Re: Gained 5 pounds!
Sorry to hear about your setback
Betty's suggestion to ask your doctor for help in finding exercises you can do is a good one - I know some of our members have posted in the past about upper body exercises they do when their health won't allow more vigorous body movement.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
