I've been on atkins for 3 weeks, lost 6lbs ( decided to remain on induction for 2 more weeks after the first 2 weeks.), My problem is that I need late night snacking ideas that are induction friendly. I have a box of sugar free, 0 carb jello, that I would love to make but is it ok for induction. I would appreciate any snacking ideas for phase 1.

Re: Sugar Free Jello
If the sugar free jello contains aspartame/nutrasweet then it's not allowed.
Let's do some soul searching though: Why do you need a late night snack? IMO, it's better to drop bad habits than to replace them.
That being said, celery with cream cheese and some celery salt is a favorite after dinner treat for me. Anything resembling something sweet and I'm foraging in the fridge for the rest of the night.

Re: Sugar Free Jello
Dr. Atkins recommended that we minimize the nutrasweet and sacharine that we consume.
Having said that, plenty of us Atkineers eat sugar-free jello. If you try it and find it stalls you, stop. For some people, it does stall. For most, it does not in small quantities.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Sugar Free Jello
Hi Punkett,
You can make your own sugar-free Jello using Kool-Aid & Splenda. It tastes great & contains no aspartame!"IF You Do What You Always Did...You'll Get What You Always Got!" - Dr. Phil McGraw

Re: Sugar Free Jello
May I ask why you decided to stay on (extended) induction? I see that you lost 6 lbs which is within the nromal range of metabolic resistance. OWL would offer you a wider variety of food choices so you could snack on more items.Originally posted by punkettI've been on atkins for 3 weeks, lost 6lbs ( decided to remain on induction for 2 more weeks after the first 2 weeks.), My problem is that I need late night snacking ideas that are induction friendly.
What is your typical menu? Sometimes I feel an urge to snack when I did not eat enough fat or drank too little water? Maybe there's something else you could do for yourself in the night...
My favorite snack are deviled eggs or just a hard boiled egg with a dab of mayo (and a huge glass of water).
