I think you've been given great words of wisdom, but I do want to send you more hugs and good thoughts. Hang in there.

Hang in there - you can do it!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Susan... HANG IN THERE... I live about an hour north of New Orleans and I know just what's going on. I was so blessed in that I still have my home (with some minor damage). I started induction precisely 1 week before Katrina hit and I was determined to stay on track. I have had those unbelievable cravings for a candybar and things. I've been so fortunate that we have had tons of donations brought in. Among those were vienna sausage and many low-carb bars. If you can find either of those things, they'll help your cravings and make you think you've had a candybar. My prayers are with you and your family. We still do not have power here... and that's what has kept me motivated to stay on Atkins. I normally get sick if I get off of Atkins and I know I don't want to be "sick" in addition to have no power, limited water and mass confusion! Keep pressing on... you'll do great!

Thanks everyone! I didn't eat the candybar, but I have cried for nights on end. Even though I have found all but one family member and I know everyone is safe, it still hurts to know my hometown is gone. My sister is going back on Monday to see what's left of her house, and my hubby and I will be allowed back next weekend to see what's left of our memories. From the pictures I've seen on the internet, it's not good, but we have to try and salavage something. I did see a picture where you could see the top part of my van, and it was moved, and looked liked it was pushed into the house. I just hope I can salavage some pictures of my mother-in-law who passed in May. I just want the one of all of her kids with her about 2 years before she passed. I pray that this one is salvagable. Things are getting better, and I haven't cheated, unless eating onions are cheating, LOL!!!! But everyone thanks for the hugs, prayers and thoughts. And thanks for letting me vent when I needed it. Ya'll are wonderful!!!!!!
