I am off to have surgery on October 3rd, Plantar Facia (I am sure that I misspelled that) I have been fighting this for over 2 years and I have a great doctor so no fear here. So if all goes well with my right foot the left one is next.

Anyway the idea is for me to lose 10 pounds by then. That will make my total loss 25. (Wow just saying that makes me smile I imagine I will be wetting myself if I actually do meet my goal.)

I have been doing induction since August 15th - but have cheated a few times in the last 10 days. My big problem is the time of night we eat supper - after 8:00pm. So I am calling in the troups - does anyone have some good crock pot menus for me to try? I have checked the recipe board - I was just wondering if there was some other good stuff out there.

    Re: Surgery

In the recipes database (link at the top of the page) there are some crockpot recipes
    http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/recipe...ockpot+Recipes

Here is a link to another good Lowcarb recipes site
    http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/main_dish_recipes.html
Most of her casseroles could be made in a crockpot and she flags up those that are induction-friendly too.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

      Re: Surgery

ajakol-- you might also want to visit this option for a little while: serve your family one meal, but you eat 5-6 small meals per day. By the time you get to dinner you are so over-hungry that it is difficullt to focus on eating sensibly. Your blood sugar has a very shrill voice, and it begged you to feed it earlier in the day!

So go for the smaller meals during the day. I find I'm usually too full to eat dinner, so I sit with my family anyway and enjoy their company!

And keep us posted on the surgery!
