    Hello Everyone...
I have been checking out this site for awhile now and you are all so inspiring!!I
have been doing extended induction since January and lost 80 pounds so far. Now that I am getting closer to my goal I have started to get food cravings again...not to stray from atkins but just to have more of the snacks that we are allowed to have (usually the cheesecake pudding) Do any of you once you are getting closer to goal have a harder time being motivated? I do excersize everyday on my excersize bike for 60-70 minutes. I thought that I would join some of the challenges and I think that will remotivate me...anyways I am so excited to be a part of this with all of you and I am so gratefull to be included.
    We all CAN do this!!!

Welcome Kim. Have you thought about starting to move up the OWL ladder and finding your CCLL since you are getting closer to your goal? This will enable you to add more food choices while still having some guidelines in place. And will greatly help you to increase your chances of success by going through all the levels. Just a thought.

Hi, kim! Congratulations on your amazing loss so far! That is really something to be porud of!

Definitely jump into some challenges, feel free to ask questions, and--by golly--since you've already done so well, be prepared to answer some questions by people needing help! Your experience will make it easier for others to share your success!

Again, way to go, and welcome to the best board on the 'net

Welcome and well done on your success so far. The exercise challenges are awesome. I too would suggest moving onto OWL. Remember, it's important to go through all four phases of Atkins in order to be a lifetime success. As already mentioned, OWL is so important for finding out your CCL and seeing how different foods are going to effect your body and weight loss or gain. I did an extended induction for several months and when I moved to OWL, my weight loss rate remained pretty much the same.

              Kim,

I struggle with the foods that are out there for OWL and my own goal. I am getting close to goal as well, but have jumped around a bit with my progression. Now I have to step back, The first thing I added was booze, Gin and diet tonic specifically. Everything else was extended induction. That was a mis-step in my opinion.

I now want to go through OWL and pre-maintainence as DR. Atkins described. I have not followed the rules, but still am lossing weight. The book describes in really good detail the order in which these food items should be introduced. It is a good plan, and I am going to back track and go through the steps of OWL. After all, why would I loose all this weight and not learn my body's ability to keep it off?

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome!!! I am so proud to be a part of this motivating, amazing board. I have learned so much from all of you...it helps to have people who are going through the same things that understand you. People always seem so surprised when they ask what I am doing and I say Atkins. You have to find a plan that works for you and for me this is the one. I am going to stay on extended induction for awhile longer but as I get even closer I will definitly move on to OWL. I want this to be a lifetime thing and not jump back to where I was. Sometimes I feel like Eddie Murphy in Nutty Professor like I will wake up one day and be huge again. Anyways I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and be there for you too!!
Take care...stay strong and you can do it!!
