  • whats going on!?!?

    im soo upset i just went on the scale and i weigh about 6 more pounds then i did about a week and a half ago....i dont understand i havent been cheating at all...i may have strayed away from strict strict induction by adding more veggies but nothing crazy....i do feel bloated and that time of the month is approaching but 6 pounds!!! I have been eating more then usual because for some reason i have this hunger that will not go away which could be linked to it being that time of month but im getting really upset....the past two days i started jogging again 2 miles a day...i might have to post some menus to see what im doing wrong...ive heard of post induction stall but gain???

    Unless you ate an additional 21,000 calories above and beyond what you need, you did *NOT* gain 6lbs of fat.

    Remember, a gallon of water weighs approximately 7lbs. Food you eat has weight, sodium can make you retain more water than the Hoover Dam, and with TOM approaching, I'm willing to bet that's a BIG part of the deal. I know when TOM comes to visit me he usually brings 3-5lbs of water with him. Add to that that you've started exercising and you're guaranteed to be retaining water. Your muscles will retain water to protect them from the goof that's putting them through these new paces. Seriously. Exercise *will* cause water retention as well.

    Do NOT give up. Do NOT panic. Do NOT be reactionary.

    You've been eating well.
    You've been exercising.

    You did NOT eat 21,000 calories more than you needed in the week and a half- and therefore it can NOT be fat.

    See?

    Feel better?!

      THANK YOU brook! you made me feel so much better....its so frustrating when cheating is not the problem and you dont know what is....im going to stay calm and stay away from the scale for a week or so and im goign to try really hard to remember what you said so i dont have a breakdown...haha....ok im hangin in there

        Have you made friends with the tape measure? The tape measure is a lot more accurate and friendly. lol! When I know TOM is coming I just stay away from the scale...my finger hurt from flipping it off so much...LOL! Just kidding, but really...the scale is so snippy and touchy...that's why the tape measure is my bestest friend. Also, if you gained 6lbs that quickly you wouldn't have to weigh...you'd know immediately! Brook is right on the money!!!! No worries!

          i know im goign to try to stay away from the scale...but i do feel it..i felt much lighter about 2 weeks ago...i just hope it goes away im going to do some serious cardio this week and tighten up on the foods im eating even though i dont think im eating anything bad but i might try strict induction again....im hoping this is just a bad 2 weeks and that most of it is water weight i really have to cut back on my salt too...hopefully if i fix these little things ill be back on track
