I have been on atkins since mid July have not lost weight. Oh I cut out this and that but still did not lose weight. I joined curves on September 6th. I did my 12th workout today. I have not stepped on that aweful scale since September 6th and I won't again until Oct. 6th, when I will not only be weighed but measured. I hope this is what is going to make the difference. Has anyone out there done atkins without exercising without losing weight and then got serious about the exercising and then was able to lose weight?

Re: Curves
Your inches are gonna fall right off of you. My first month with Curves I didnt lose much more than 5#, although I did lose inches and was pretty dissappointed with that scale number. I had been doing Atkins for 7 months at that point. Curves made me begin to build muscle so my loss dropped right off for several months. YMMV I now go and dont weigh or measure. I am doing it for how it makes me feel. A loss of inches and/or weight is a definate plus though and my secondary goal.

Re: Curves
When I first started, I didn't exercise, then the weight loss slowed down and every body on this wonderful site encouraged me to start exercising. You are going to be so glad you've started, feeling the muscles come out all over your body is a very empowering thing!Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"

Re: Curves
The first time I did Atkins, exercise was raising the bag of pork rinds to my mouth. Let's just say that the weight started coming off, and it came off, but then it stopped.
This time around, I got out of the starting gate exercising, and so far I've lost 30 pounds in a month!
Exercise makes a huge difference.
Remember, Atkins is a low-calorie plan. Even Dr A knew and recognized that in order to lose weight you have to move more (exercise is not an option) and you have to eat less.
If you use fitday you already know what your caloric intake is everyday.
Yes, it is possible to get fat or to stop losing on Atkins iof caloric intake is too high and there is no exercise.
So eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full and exercise a minimumn of 5 days a week, for 30 minutes a day.
