antibiotics and weight gain

i have to take antibiotics for toth infection and am gaining weight despite exercise, atkins.

is it water weight.... will it go away after the course of antibiotics.

It is not uncommon for certain antibiotics to have that effect. I have been on two different types on two different occasions. Both times they knocked me out of ketosis and a slight gain. Fortunately I was back into ketosis in about 3-4 days after the anitbiotics and lost the weight very quickly.
Most important is to take the antibiotics as per your doctors directions!!!
