  • Newbie....starting INDUCTION 9-29

Hello all! I am almost 28 years old and the mom of 3 beautiful (aint they all?) kids. Married the neighbor boy almost 10 years ago! I am ready to get started!!! YEAH!

I am currently on a 48 hour cleanse and then Im starting the Atkins Induction. I have read the book (a few months back) and will refresh my knowledge on all the good stuff. I am excited to lose the weight and get healthy!
Most of all...my #1 GOAL when all is said and done...is to have a HEALTHY mindset about weight and food! My goal is 140. I was there in 2002...but lost the weight by using PHENTERMINE. I gained it back over the last 3 years and also contribute my taking LEXAPRO for the last 4 years. I am weaning off the Anit-depressant...have another month to go and will be FREE!

I look forward to finding support and giving it too!
    THANK SO MUCH!

    Welcome to our family Sarie.

I am sure with the motivation your post exudes you will soon be a big loser
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

      All the best to you!!

I have no idea what the 48 hour cleanse involves, but I'm thinking that because of it, you may or may not have the same weight loss in your first two weeks of proper Induction as a person who didn't do the cleanse. The first two weeks of Induction really are a cleanse themselves, as you go off of all the bad stuff.
You might lose the average 5 to 10% of your desired amount in those two weeks, but then again, you may have lost your water weight during this cleanse, so it may appear that you have a slow metabolism, when in reality you don't.
      I hope this makes sense...lol

People who usually "prepare" for diets are doomed to failure. You're anticipating the worst - months of horrible pain.

Drop everything you're eating and do atkins NOW. Having the last "donut" before you begin doesn't help anything.

I dont know what a cleanse is that you're doing, but if you don thave the positive mindset of starting atkins immediately, you may fail from the start.

Good luck, and hopefully we can all help you out!

          Welcome and Good Luck!

First few days are the hardest, but you'll never look back.

Remember to drink your water and journal daily.

          Take care .
