  • Itchin' to cheat...

After a clean two-week Induction, I had lost a pretty respectable 7 lbs (according to my scale Sunday evening). I know, I should be excited, and I am, but yesterday, while at the market, I had a hankering for ice cream. And I don't mean a "Mmm, ice cream would be nice right now" kind of hankering. I mean a full-on "EAT THE CARBY GOODNESS NOW, YOU FOOL!" hankering. Talk about dilemma, huh?

As this is my second time around, I knew I didn't want to fall back into my usual routine of yo-yoing. So, I gave myself a little mental smack, picked up a nice cut of beef on which I wouldn't have otherwise splurged, and ate it medium-rare last night with horseradish and the most divine Caesar salad this side of Rome.

And this morning I was down another 2 lbs. Talk about positive reinforcement.

(I usually don't weigh myself but once every two weeks or so, but I just need that swift kick in the bum to remind me why I'm doing this.)

Way to go! Awesome job on overcoming that ice-cream siren song. A 2 lb loss and you probably feel way better than that stupid old ice cream would have made you feel.

That's definitely the way to go, Gympy! It's amazing that when we're away from sugar we really notice the natural sweetness in things!

Granted, Slab-O-Beef-In-Wafflecone isn't very appealing, visually, but it is far healthier than having the threesome with Ben and Jerry (well, minus the wafflecone)!

      Way to go, hepcathootchiemama!

And the important thing here is that you proved you were stronger than the urge to indulge in ICE-CREAM. Congratulations!! You're doing an awesome job!!

Damn, honestly that is EXACTLY what you should have done! I often pickup some ribeyes to just help me out.

Steak melting in my mouth after it was grilled to perfection is better than ANY icecream. Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is the buckets of support and well-wishes from you fabulous ladies that keeps me coming back to this board! Thanks!

Stefanie: I'm more than happy to have you as an ADBB "stalker" I was hoping to find some people with similar stats to compare menus, workout regimens and the like. Good luck and feel free to drop me a line whenever.
