Anyone else have this problem? If so, what are ytou having for an evening snack?!?! Something sweet? If you're in OWL and on the appropriate rung, consider having a cup of yogurt with a Tbsp of flax and a packet of splenda. It always hits the spot for me, and is light and smooth.

If you want something crunchy and haven't eaten all your veggies, celery and cream cheese is good. Devilled eggs are tasty and filling too. Or maybe a little plate with some cheese, olives and a dill pickle or two. The possibilities are endless, even on induction.

          3 oz heavy cream
3 oz water (cause 3 oz just aint enough)

Either your favorite Davinci's syrup or 1 pack splenda and some Vanilla extract (almond is good too)

Mix and freeze for a few hours

TADA.... it gives new Meaning To ICE-CREAM.

Its rock hard sometimes, but just chip away at it with a spoon..

            Re: Evening Snacks!!!

One of my favourite evening snacks was to cube up some pepperoni, celery (or radishes) and some cheese into small cubes and munch away on them. It gave me that 'popcorn' style type of snack where you are eating a bit at a time.

Funny though, as time went by, I lost the need to have an evening snack. In the beginning I seemed so anxious to have one but now, most nights I don't have anything.

I'm in OWL, so if I do fancy something it's usually yogurt with fruit and walnuts.

              Here are some ideas...

Low carb yogurt: if it needs sweetening, add a packet of Splenda

One or two pieces of string cheese

              One or two boied eggs

              Sautee a hot dog

Sliced ham or turkey, dipped in ranch dressing or whatever your low carb dressing

              Do es this help?

If I need to snack in the evening, I usually go for a hardboiled egg with some mayo. The fat in the Mayo seems to do the trick for me. Also, it doesn't bother my stomach or give me any kind of heartburn.

                      Re: Evening Snacks!!!

Doesn't sound all that appetizing, but hot flax cereal is good with a spoon of cream mixed in or cinnamon. All I do is add 1 or 2 spoons to water adn microwave it. It poofs up like oatmeal and I usually add cream or sometimes a drop of chocolate syrup. I am not a big fan of powdered packets of splenda casue I can taste them. Flax is all fiber filled so it fills you up and you get that hot in you before bed.
Otherwise, I haev been known to do cream cheese whipped up and add chocolate syrup or vanilla and put it in a baggy and flatten it out and freeze it. It freezes into a long candy bar and I break off chunks as I want it. I always drink cold water with whatever it is so I get more filled up

                        Re: Evening Snacks!!!

Here is something I just found on the boards and it sound good! I am going to try tonight!

                        8 oz heavy whipping cream
8 oz cream cheese - softened
                        8 oz sour cream
                        1/2 cup splenda
                        1 tsp vanilla

Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set asside
Mix the rest of the ingredients until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.

This makes 12 servings (divide equally between 12 foil muffin cups or 12 fluted glasses) @ >3 g. carbs per serving.
