  • In third week of extended induct.

    Hi all.

    I am in my third week of induction. The first two weeks lost about 7-8 pounds. This week nothing. I am still in ketois, I did not change anything.

    What should I do. COuld it be I am not eating enough.

    Breakfest
    2 hardboiled eggs.
    2 pics of bacon or 1 sauage

    Snack
    1 oz of cheese, and 10 pis of pepporini.

    Lunch.
    chicken with mayo on bed of lettus

    Snack
    Ham and cheese roll up

    Dinner

    2 or 3 chicken thighs or steak
    cup of beans or broccile.

    Firstly, give that a read...it should make you feel better! It's pretty normal to have a pause after the initial loss of water weight.

    Your menu looks good to me..are you getting in the correct amounts of vegetables?
    Remember to go for the dark leafy lettuces, or spinach, because iceberg lettuce is little more than chewy water, and the others give you more nutrients and fiber.

    Ham, bacon, sausage and pepperoni are all high in salt, so be mindful of how much of them you eat per day..and make sure you are getting in your 64+ ounces of water a day as well. (64 ounces, plus 8 ounces per 25 pounds you are wanting to lose)

    Hang in there...it's all part of the weight loss roller coaster!

      I agree with Moochie. Looks like you're below the 3 cups of veggies as per the rules of induction. You might want to open a free account at www.fitday.com. You can get an idea of basal metabolic rate (bmr) and active metabolic weight (amr) in order to get a rough idea if you're eating enough calories. Also fitday will help you assess if you're eating 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs most of which come from the veggies. Also, are you drinking all your water and exercising?

        I'm just curious..

        On the "cup of beans or broccoli" what kind of beans are you referring to? Soy beans/mung bean sprouts, or some other type like kidney beans, etc?

          Check out the Biggest Loser website on NBC. They ALL slowed down the third week!!

            I agree. More veggies and watch out for the bacon, sausage and pepperoni.
