Hello!
I just posted this in the exercise forum but thought I might some additional advice posting it here as well.
I am 26 years old and 5'9". I just completed Atkins Induction and went from 158 to 150 pounds. As is the case with many of you I'm sure, this is the only diet out of the billions I've tried that's worked for me, namely because this is the only one I've been able to stick to.
I would like to get down to 125 or 130 pounds (aka lose 20 pounds) because that is the weight I feel best at (weighed that about 3 years ago, until a bad breakup and lots of carb-filled emotional eating led to a 20-30 pound weight gain in about 3 months that I have not yet managed to take off.)
However, I would also really like to train for a marathon. However, I am VERY VERY reluctant to leave Induction. Is it possible to do Induction and train for a marathon? What about a half marathon? I currently jog 3 miles 5 days a week, and don't exacly feel energetic on Atkins, but maybe this will pass . . .
Any advice is HUGELY appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kate
