or should i just keep on walking?
another problem is that my belly is wrinkled..i had a csec ..and now my belly is hanging..it wa s better before but since i have lost weight from belly mostly i lost 7 inches. there.it now looks like a wrinkled ballon..does crunches work or should i buy one of those tv products called "ab king pro"?or tummy tuck..i mam scared of surgeries, and tummy tuck is the least i want can someone please tell me how they

Sadie, unfortunately, there's no such thing as spot reducing. You can target specific areas to build more muscle there, but as long as they're covered by a layer of fat they'll still look heavy. There's no way to force your body to burn fat from one area vs another. Generally speaking, if you gained in your chest/arms last, that seems to be the first to go. Conversely, first on last off. It bites.

Loose skin is a witch and unfortunately, the only thing you can do is reduce your body fat. If that doesn't work, surgery it is. There's no miracle cure or exercise for it.

    *sigh*

Wish I had better news for you, but alas....I don't. Just keep working on reducing your body fat (but STAY HEALTHY!) and getting those muscles toned up and pretty!

I agree with everything Brook said. I am a pear shape also. I lost 30 pounds before it ever started coming off my hips.

        Re: Pear shaped

Yes, I am an extreme pear LOL. The weight hasn't come off easily in My hips and thighs and I really didn't start to really notice a lot of fat leaving that area till I stepped up my exercise in the way of cardio. I began running 5 days a week and started to really see a drasic drop in the fat. I think with us being bigger on the bottom it's harder for us to get rid of it. I have read that somewhere LOL. Maybe I should find it. The fat pockets we have are basically set there for having babies and survival LOL. I don't know why I need a Big A$$ to survive but heyy, I just work really hard and I keep my WOE very clean in the way of eating.

Walking is an excellent way to lose weight. I'm nto too sure where you are in your exercise regime but, it helps to begin to add time or speedwalking is really great as we.. Maybe even run walking. If you are into that you can check out www.coolrunnings.com there is a couch to 5 k program there if you wanted to try running. Please if you have any apprehension about doing it then just continue walking.

Weighs are also a great way to shape the body. I ahve been lifting weights since the begining about 3 days per week. I do a full body workout upper and lower body using 7 pound weights. Lunges are excellent for shaping as well as sqauts and deadlifts. They will all help to thin out the legs.

I don't know if that helps you or not it took about 6 months for my legs to really start to shrink I lost a ton on my upper body first as well I look really out of proportion.

I have also had a C Section and am dealing with the hangy belly right now. it is going down a lot but, it has a lot of stretch marks a wrinkles. I do massage on my belly and I truely think this is helping my skin to shrink. It increases blood flow to the area thus releasing fat (well helping) and also helps the body heal with increases blood flow to these areas the body can begin to repair itself. It's exciting not an overnight cure but, definately worth the effort if you are into doing that.

        Take care

          Re: Pear shaped

Another pear here! I've *just* started noticing my hips shrinking. If you look at my pic I went from total pear to where now my shoulders look wider.

I've had 4 radical c-sections (vertical cut on the outside, horizontal on the inside. My muscles are SHOT!), and the "flap" (looks more like biscuit dough ) has shrunk from hanging over to just a pooch now. Hopefully it will continue to shrink. And l like Sarah, I massage all that area trying to egg it on just a little faster... Exercise is really helping with all over shrinkage. Go figure!

I was comfortable enough with it to go get a Brazilian wax last night, so that's a huge step for me!

          Good luck!
