  • Finally something to smile about

I weighed myself this morning and I now weigh 145 so that's 13 pounds lost so far on induction (its the start of my fourth week today!). I'm so happy because I hadn't lost anything for a few days (I honestly wasn't going to look at the scales, but they were there ).

Anyway so I feel fab today, and its made me even more determined.

Oh and I took Cleo's advice from another thread and am actually wearing trousers that fit (a UK size 14) rather than the ones from three weeks ago (a size 16)

          congratulations on your loss, Jen

I know what you mean about needing to get clothes that fit instead of carrying on wearing the baggy ones.

If you dont want to spend lots of money on smaller clothes yet, just do what I do - shop at charity shops.

I decided when I started to be too small for my clothes that I wouldnt buy any new ones till I reached goal (apart from undies) and so far have managed this.

Only last week I bought a full length brand new sheepskin coat for only £65.00 - new it would have been over £500!! and my DH bought a similar mens sheepskin for £12.99!!!

And when I have clothes too big to wear they go back to the same charity shops for someone else to buy.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Hi Jen - you are doing fantastic! Keep up the good work and you'll really see the pounds and inches melting off. And it's great to see another person in Scotland on the forum! We seem to have roughly the same idea of what weight we need to lose although my goal weight is heavier than I should be but is a weight I'd be happy with for a bit until I see how I feel about losing more....

Re: Finally something to smile about

Thanks everyone and thanks for all the suggestions and encouragement, I honestly believe if I hadn't found this board I'd have given up in the first week!

I will definately check out the chairty shops Elizellen, there are actually more of them than clothes shops here! Oh and i got a new 9used) coat frpm ebay today, it's a size 12 so fingers crossed I'll be able to get in it by christmas...

Alienore - I'm not sure to be honest that i'll be able to get to 112 (specially since I may have a working muscle or two for the first time ever0 I kinda just picked it as a goal but if I end up more than that but am happy I'll change it. I haven't been 112 since I was 17 anyway
