    Hey guys,
I have a question about my veggies. Does it matter if I have 2 of the 3 cups of veggies during one meal? I'm wondering if the more carbs you take in at one sitting will impact your sugar levels or does it not really work like that?
Also, is avacado (sp?) allowed during induction (I'm in my 4th week)... I didn't see it on the acceptable food list but a few of my friends who are following the program say that it is acceptable.... ?
    Any info will help!
    Thanks

    Re: veggie question

It's better to spread out your veggie carbs throughout the day, rather than "load" them during one meal.

Your friends are right about avocado. It is on the acceptable foods list, as a "Special Category Food"

      Re: veggie question

Hi, firstly I will answer the avacado question. The following has been copied from the FAQ section -

      Special Category Foods
To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.

Secondly, it is best for you to spread your cups of vegetables through out the day instead of all in one meal, as you are right, it does effect your blood sugar levels.

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Thanks guys! I'll keep eating my veggies through out the day then... and now that I see the special category foods list, I do vaguely remember reading that...lol
