Morning, my doctor told me that in order for me to loose my abdominal fat, I will need to lower my fat intake. Can I still do this with Atkins?

the human body will burn body storage fat for fuel no matter what your fat intake is IF your caloric intake is less then your body caloric burn for the day.

Ask your doc for the specifici medical studies that demonstrated this rule of his. Bet he can't give you one single study that was low carb folk needed less fat in the diet to lose belly fat.

Do your Atkins both the eating and exercise parts and you will discover your belly is getting smaller just as all of us did.

No, you cannot do a lowfat version of Atkins because our weight loss is directly related to the amount of fat that we eat. Under Atkins to lose weight we should consume about 65% of our diet in fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein during induction.
