You CAN do this!! Look how far you've come already! I find that coming here daily.. usually several times lol and journaling every day reeeeally helps to keep me focused. Also, try joining a challenge to keep you motivated. I KNOW sometimes it's hard to do all that (mom of 2, wife, FT student) but this is you we are talking about and YOU are important! Take the time for yourself. The first time I tried Atkins, I did all of these things and I stuck with it. Then I fell off the wagon and tried to get back on track many times, but didn't do those things daily and I never made it more than a week. It really helps. Look at Brook's picture.. if that's not motivation, I don't know what is! lol I wish you much success and I KNOW you can do it!!

Welcome back to our ADBB family

REad some of the posts in the 'Second Time Around Club' (STAC) forum to see how others have managed to get back on track.

This time it might be worth doing just the minimum 2 weeks of induction then moving on up the OWL ladder to get your body used to eating more variety of foods to stop you getting bored of induction and perhaps slipping off the wagon.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: I need to come back

          Sweet,

Oh my gosh! I am in the same thing! I have not cheated so much in having real sugar and those types of items (ok I lie, Christmas day was bad) other than Christmas Anyway, I just discovered how much I have been sabatoging myself with Carb Smart ice cream and other frankenfoods and especially sweetener OVERLOAD. I have been having Sugar free syrup with my coffee every morning 2-3 cups , aspartame in the 64 oz of carbonated flavored water and then splenda for treats at night.

I am not really breaking the sugar fix at all any more! I was good for a long time and then as soon as I started adding all these "legal treats" I am back in the sugar addiction again. True, it could be worse, I could be totally off the wagon instead of just STALLED for 3 months. I am DONE.

Check out my Personal Challenge post in the challenge section. It was really just for me but I would love some company and a motivation buddy!

          Great day,
          kelly
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

wow thanks you guys! yep I need to start doing all the things I did then to keep me on track, like coming here every day and also I have given up the cafeine again, I realize now that before almost every cheat was a cup o coffee (for energy) and around went the cycle of the sugar slump/ hangover to the coffee back to the cravings again, I miss how healthy I felt in ketosis, Im working now and I just bought a bunch of atkins protien shakes 1carb to drink in the morningsand

Good for you! Just be careful with those shakes. You might want to do without them at least for the first 2 weeks. I know that now they are considered acceptable, but that's not the way Dr. Atkins wrote the plan. Something to think about.

Re: I need to come back

Yeah watch out for those shakes. They are food-industry products. They taste-test these things before they sell them to find out if they will be profitable. And what are they testing for? They design them so they make people want more.

I did really well when I first started. I didn't start stumbling till I started adding in so-called sugar-free and low carb items. And after I stopped I must have tried 10 times to restart induction. But I couldn't do it till I gave up ALL sweeteners. They just make you want more, and once you have more they don't satisfy, so then you just want the real thing.
