  • Joining the Extended Group

Well, my first two weeks of Induction are now finished and I'm joining the Extended Induction group.

I have to say, this has been amazing so far. In two weeks I lost 17 lbs!!!
This morning I even tried on jeans that wouldn't have fit just two weeks ago, and they went on fairly easily!

I don't see any need to change what's working!!!

    Happy low carbing everyone!

Original goal: Lose 30 lbs by Mar. 1st, 2006. I made it!!!

Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

      weigh to go WOO HOO

the reason you will need to change what is working is because eventually you will need more food choices and those that work all phases of Atkins buikld a very strong house of Atkins to move into when they reach goal.
By practicing with the food rungs in OWL we get to see in a very controlled manner how each group and individual food effects our blood sugars and our craving and weight cantrols.

Keep looking at chapter 13 and taking the test. it will help you know when it is time to move on. if you reach the 5-10 pounds mark you have to move on per Dr Atkins orders.

Have fun I know extended is a great tool I did 6.5 months of it myself.

          Weigh to go, Rick
And congratulations on doing the exercising too
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

            Well done!
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
            he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Thank you everyone, for the encouragement and the knowledge.

Yep, jsj, I'm almost at goal (will be this evening) for m original estimates of what I could do on the treadmill. I found that it really didn't take long to get more endurance than what I started with. I'll be changing that original goal soon.

The support from this board is fantastic!!!
