  • Another question about exercise.....

    I see alot of people who have been on atkins talk about this and I'm not quite sure I understand.

    You talk about endurance and shocking the body. How does a person know if they are shocking their body ???? Ok, I have seen a difference as far as endurance (I added alot more time onto working out and I seem to be able to give more of myself in the workout then I was able to at the beginning) but don't think I'm shocking my body......

    Also why does one need to shock their body???

    I've never heard that particular comment about Atkins and exercise ..

    What is shocking about eating healthy lean meats, non-starchy vegetables and healthy fats? What is shocking about exercise??

    I'm confused about that!

      shocking isn't an atkins term

      it is a slang term some fitness instructor type folk use to tell you your body wil adapt to the workout you are doing which you have seen and to keep it burning cals and increasing your indurance you have to change what you are doing ( hence the term shock). Y ou can change to a different machine or workout video or you can like Betty and many others that run have done is run longer faster.
