I have a question about cheese...I know we only supposed to eat 3 to 4 ounces a day but can we eat more if we're still under 20 g of carbs? And is turkey bacon okay to eat, someone told me that it contains more carbs than regular? Thank you!
Turkey bacon is fine but as with all bacon - check the ingredients to be sure of the carb count. As for the cheese, the reason why it is limited is because we are supposed to be concentrating on eating nutrient dense vegetables - at least 10g net carbs worth. Most cheeses come in at about 1 carb per oz - put 4 oz of cheese together with 10g veggies and your at around 14g. That will leave you 6g for any coffee, cream, sweetener, eggs, etc. To use our carbs wisely, it's best to keep the cheese restricted.

Goal!:
cheese has other properties besideds carbs that effect weight loss. Dr Atkins limited it to 3-4 ounces during induction. When you get to OWL rung 2 of the carb ladder you can add more cheese if your metabolism can handle it.
