  • starting extended induction

    Hi all,

After 2 weeks of induction, I lost 7.5 lbs but I'd really like to lose a little more before moving on to OWL. So I thought I'd try extended induction for a week and then go from there. I'm going to keep exercising and stick to the induction foods. One question, I bought some low carb protien shake mix from the Vitamin Shoppe--should I avoid this completely during induction? Is it considered a frankenfood? It has only 2 carbs per serving and a lot of vitamins, but I just didn't know if this is something I should avoid or not.

You have to read the ingredients. If there's anything in there that isn't on the induction acceptable foods list then, no, you can't have it yet. You'll have to wait till the appropriate rung. You're doing great so far!

If the ingredients are okay then I would try them, BUT they do stall a lot of folks, so if you start to stall, let them go.
