  • 2 Weeks down, going for extended

    Hi all,

    Two week induction complete, 14lbs down, 55 to go...

    Thinking of going on extended induction for another two...

    Any advice ?

    December 2007


    February 2008

    Restart Date: January 5, 2008
    Re-Start Weight: 265lbs
    Mini Goal 1: 250lbs - Reached Jan 16,2008
    Mini Goal 2: 230lbs - Reached March 5, 2008
    Mini Goal 3: 210lbs
    Current Weight 225lbs Plateau broken
    GOAL: 200lbs

    Nothing wrong with staying on extended if you've got a fair amount of weight to lose!

    Remember though, the first rung of OWL is 5 carbs more of veggies, so if you find you're hankering for more, step right on up and add those in. You can also stay on a rung for a while too.

      Just take it one day at a time. If you get bored, do as Moochie says and start moving up the rungs. You can stay on any part of the rungs for longer than a week. Just take them in order.

        I was wondering if people plateau on extended induction ? Just curious...

          I did/Am. No pounds lost in two weeks, but I don't have much to lose and I've heard of this happening to others so I'll just hang in there!

            Razorshock, just make sure you dont stay on induction too long

            You ought to lose your last 5-10 pounds on the premaintenance stage, which doesnt leave you long to climb the OWL ladder and discover your CCLL!

            Also by doing OWL you will find if any of the foods affect you by giving you cravings and be able to learn what you can eat in the future and maintain once you have reached goal.

              True, time to start the rungs soon.... For some reason I just felt that I wanted to hit a certain point before doing that. My 'typical' weight before I gained in late 2005 (which i wasn't happy with before anyway) was right around 175. I have a very light build so even at six feet+ tall fat still hangs off of me at that weight. I'm sort of excited to see how I will look at a lower weight (real abs maybe??).

                First two weeks got me 14lbs down, 55 to go...

                I was hoping to get at least 1/2 way in the induction phase... is this the right way to go about it ?
