Re: Too few carbs?
If you're eating til you're satisfied, you should be fine. Now, WHAT you're eating may not be. Without seeing a menu, no way to tell other than to mention:
1. You can put on muscle that weighs more than fat, take measurements from week to week or not so often if you don't want, but take em. They can show progress even when the scale doesn't.
2. Cheese, caffeine, atkins diet foods and other low carb diet foods, among other things can stall you.
3. Your percentages for the things you eat should be as close to 65% fat, 5% carbs and 35% protein as you can get them daily.
Fitday is a good place to start if you want to track your percentages, carbs and have your menu reviewed. You can sign up there free.
Other than that.. as I said, without knowing what you're eating, there's no telling what it could be. It could just be that your body will take longer to lose, if you are more resistant to weight loss. Have you read the book?

Have you read this yet?

I know you have only just started, but it's important to know that weight bobbles around a lot. That's why we tell people to stay off the scale for the full two weeks of Induction and then after that only weigh in once a week or so.
The daily fluctuations can drive a person crazy and it's just not worth it.

Re: Too few carbs?
hi.
What's your start weight, current weight and weight goal.
Most importantly how much weight did you lose during your first 14 days of Induction? I ask this because your degree of metabolic resistance to weight loss is very important in determining how you should proceed with this diet.~Megs~

Re: Too few carbs?
Have you checked to see your inches changing? fat mass should be being shed unlesyou are over eating your Atkins ornot following the rules ofinduction from chapter 11 of DANDR.
you have aded exercise and your body is genetically programmedto think you are in danger to load your muscles likethat so it hascreated stores of fluids and such in them for you to use since this danger isn't going away. As your muscles learn the new exercise load is your normal load forthem they will releasethe fluids andyou should get a nice drop in weight.by the book atkinseer

Re: Too few carbs?
thats okay of they read your post they know you started last Monday. Brook gains about 5 pounds every time she changes her exercise program. All we need to know is are you eating according to chapter 11 anddo you have any ratio issues? if not then waittill day 15 and se what happens. Use your tapemeasure to validate your Atkins hard work when the metal monster will not. remember scales weigh total mass and not how much fat mass is down or leanbody tissue is up or even what is going on with fluids are you hiolding dehydrated or normal.

Re: Too few carbs?
to allow people to see your fitday info you need to click on the 'home' tab after you log into fitday then scroll down to the bottom and click on the button called 'make my journal public' then you will be given a link you can post here to let us into your menu details.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
