Re: Pork Rinds on induction
I would probably not eat more than a cup. Pork rinds are very high in calories--look at the serving size and number of servings per bag and you might be surprised!

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
Hey, we counting calories now?
Ottie, rinds are very addicting (for those of us with a fondness for them). I try to limit myself to 1/2 bag. I also like to spread some cream cheese on them when the mood strikes me.

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
I use pork rinds to eat my tuna salad! Wonderful! And, if I do that, I get full and I tend NOT to overeat on the pork rinds

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
Well, I always mention calories and pork rinds because one week I stopped losing...I realized because I was eating about an extra 500-1000 calories a day in pork rinds! Fortunately I got sick of them.

They do make a great coating for fried foods, incidentally. I like to mix half crushed pork rinds with parmesan cheese.

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
I do believe that in dandr Dr. A says no more than 20 per day. Will have to double check that, but I am pretty sure that is what it says.

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
It's really not. Most bags I've seen have 8 servings, which is 640 cals right there. The bag quoted earlier is pretty small. We bought them in a giant tub from Sam's, and with a handful here, and handful there...it added up. If you try to use them as a potato or other snack replacement, it can get out of control. They are fine as an occasional snack, but all I'm saying is be careful with it.Originally posted by ZukiExcuse me, but thats alot of pork rinds...You'd think you would get full after a while.

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
Ok couldn't find it in dandr but I did find a post somewhere in which one of the old timers posted that Dr. A said one cup a day.

Re: Pork Rinds on induction
I like pork rinds ground on chicken to make "fried chicken", in meatloaf and spicy chicken burito stuff, but by themselves they are really self limiting for me I can only take about
6-8 or so even with dip...then again before low carb I never had even tried pork rinds or wanted to
