  • Induction friendly Philadelphia substitute?

I loooooove wrapping smoked salmon in Phliadephia cheese. But Philadephia cheese seems to be full of carbs. Which is bad, obviously.

Could anybody suggest some kind of cheesy substance I could wrap salmon around that's induction friendly? The closer to Philadephia the better!

I found that one supermarket's 'own brand' of cream cheese has a much lower carb count than philly has. Compare the info on the packets to see if you find the same.

This must be a UK thing. I see "Philadelphia" cheese, and I think Philadelphia cream cheese, which is totally legal.

Yeah, around here Philly cream cheese is much lower in carbs than the generics...1 per serving vs. 2 or 3 in the store brands.

Philadelphia cream cheese or even the low fat (Nefutel spelling) cheese alternative is low in carbs 1g per oz. Just remember the limitation of 3-4 oz per day, and you *might * be fine with the real stuff. I say might because some people stall with the cream cheese no matter what the carb load.

I cant remember what the carb count was for the philadelphia cream cheese but the one I get at Waitrose has 2 carbs per 100 grams (3.5 ounces).
