  • 5 days into inductions for the third go round

Hi everyone, well I have been posting mostly in the second go round club, but being that I plan on being on induction for a while I figured I might post here too. I have been on induction for 5 days so far. I have lost a total of five pounds. I am so excited!!!! This is my third and final time on atkins because I am not coming off this time. I am a lifer this time. I am so excited about going all the way. I want to lost a total of a 110 pounds so I have 105 more to go. I want to do this before the end of this year. Well that is me.

    Hi Chrisie,
Welcome, and good luck on reaching your goal. Gotta say, it's lofty, but with work and conviction you could make it! If you're dedicated to this WOL and work it right, then the goal will be reached... sometimes not as quickly as we'd like... well, never as soon as we'd like, because I'd love to wake up tomorrow and be at goal!!! But, you can do it!!! Stay the course, keep posting and you'll be there before you know it!

    Best of luck to you!

Original goal: Lose 30 lbs by Mar. 1st, 2006. I made it!!!

Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

Have you thought about setting a mini goal for partway through the year? A lot of people do that, just to make the whole seem a little less daunting. You're definitely on the right track, and rick is right, if you're determined enough and work hard enough, nothing is impossible. Just keep trecking on down the road and you will be the lifer you want to be. Good luck hun!

no honestly I haven't set any mini goals because this may seem silly to some, but I don't want to take my eyes off my main goal even for a second this time. I know some of you might not understand that, but you can't understand the determintation I have this time. I am so determined to meet my goal this time without any exceptions, I have been overweight my WHOLE life and franly I am tired of it. I have never been this overweight. I have just been more than what I like...no I am obese. I refuse to live like this any longer. I am scared if I were to set up a mini goal that it would take away some of that determinantion.

One of the main reasons people fail is by having unrealistic expectations. No doubt with determination you can achieve your goal weight, but in 10 months? That would be over 2 lbs a week. A good first goal would be 10% of your current body weight in 8 weeks.

Right on girl Mini goals are hard ; ; especially once you reach them. For me once I reach my mini-goal I want to reward myself with carbs ><

Heh. It's like, Ok, I went all that time without a huge piece of chocolate cake. *GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE* and then you gain 10 lbs before realizing you have to get back on the wagon again >< And then you feel so hopeless about the situation you just decide to not care about it --- that is until you can't fit into your clothes anymore.

                      I believe in you!
I will lose weight, I will lose weight, I WILL LOSE WEIGHT!
