Ok. So I went crazy. This is my first week on extended induction. I have been craving chocolate but, have not given in. I did induction correctly. I even keep track of my eating in fitday. I did not even chew gum or eat anything with splenda. I even had that TOM and I did not give in but, for some reason today, I did. It started with taking my sister to the airport and I found a package of hersheys Hugs and I ate 8. Then my husband and I ordered a pizza and I ate cookie dough and goldfish crackers. Oh my... I feel so bad about this because I did induction perfectly and now I have really messed up.

Just get back on track as soon as possible. You had a bad day and just move on. Don't punish yourself. If you get and stay on track, it will be a minor blip in the whole scheme of things.
Drink up that water!! and for heavens sake, no more chocolate.
The only way I can only eat 1, is if it's the only 1.

Re: I went Crazy
I completely agree! You can't beat yourself up over your mistakes. Learn your lesson, and start clean right away. It's way too easy to fall into the trap of, "Well, I cheated yesterday, I'll do it again and start full force tomorrow," and then tomorrow you tell yourself the same thing, then the next day, then the next, and so on and so forth.
I've found that the worse I feel about a cheat, the more likely I am to keep cheating. It's a vicious cycle. If I just tell myself, "You screwed up...learn from it and move on," I get back on track MUCH more quickly.F/26 5'6"

Re: I went Crazy
Thanks so much guys for you words of encouragement. I just plan to stick with extended induction for the time I originally planned wich was two more weeks after induction and I am not going to step on a scale until after. I lost 10lbs during induction and I worked out. I am going to continue to eat right, exercise and drink lots of water.
Thanks

Re: I went Crazy
Been there done that.
Totally splurged on icecream sandwich's and felt like absolute dog **** afterwards(emotionally and physically). But it was a lightbulb moment because it really sunk in that my body can't handle the junk anymore. Just get back on the horse it only gets better!!

Re: I went Crazy
Don't look back. Today is a new day. You need to make a plan of action on how to conquer the cravings when they happen again. I remember them all so well in the beginning. I'd drink water till I thought I'd explode. I'd go for walks, go to sleep, eat baggies of meat, cheese, celery, green peppers. Whatever it takes...do it. Reaffirming your committement to yourself by looking at your photos, motivational phrases and talking to a weight loss buddy also help. Whatever you choose to be your life-support...write it down and use it when you need help. We are all here for you and have been there. You can do it. Don't be depressed over yesterday....instead think of how fantastic you'll look and feel in a few months!!!Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.

Re: I went Crazy
The road to good health is a rocky one. You have slipped. I certainly have!!! but i chose to never go back to being that fat miserable woman of the past. I am looking to the future. Come with me forward. We can do this.
Get the thoughts of failure out of your thoughts and move forward. It is possible, I am speaking from experience.
This is a good example why chosing to be cheatfree is the best option. If you don't cheat you will feel the power, it will empower you!
Get back on track and lets see just how happy you will be.
Happy Low Carbing!
