  • Induction Friendly Desserts - IDEAS??

    Hi ,

I have used this ladies web site - http://users3.ev1.net/%7Efontlady/dessert_recipes.html. But I was wondering if there was another helpful website out there will some really tasteful dessert recipes ( that are good for induction). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

One I've always liked is my Irish Potatoes. Use natural shreded coconut though

Natural coconut, cream cheese, splenda & cinnamon

Mmm, Tommy, that sounds really good! I just bought some fresh coconuts and I'm gonna give that a try!

A reminder that when you are on Extended Induction, coconut is not allowed. The same rules apply as when you were on the first 14 days.

I love cream cheese warmed up with coco powder and splenda!! Yummy!! It has a cheesecake type taste to me. You could try 2bigs Ziplock Icecream! Its so good, my kids love it!! I never make it for myself, I always want to eat it all by myself!

              I love that site!

i use it for all kinds of different things.

              I have a strange concoction I love

my mom used to make it as a frosting for carrot cake.

cream cheese mixed with a little splenda and lime/lemon juice.

              it's great!

oh, I also made a splenda cheesecake the other day, and I want to get a recipe for flan... yumm!

Cook some rhubarb in a bit of water until it's a consistency you like (I like it like a thick sauce with some large chunks still in it) then sweeten with splenda. It's considered an induction veggie as well so it helps with your veggie intake. One cup of cooked rhubarb (and that's alot!), according to fitday has: 11gs carbs, 4gs of fibre.

sorry if I goofed on that one (forgot it wasnt on the induction list) but to add to it, i remember there was a difference between the regular coconut and the all natural coconut. I had to find a health store to buy it.

I was always partial to the infamous mock danish or the microwave flax bread recipe jazzed up with cinnamon and butter glaze.

XD I'm content with a jar of peanut butter... ; ; *cry* XD I've tried making "peanut butter cookies" before. I mixed egg with peanut butter and cream cheese. It didn't work out that welll, but I'll keep experimenting

I think the difference with the coconut is that some of the shredded stuff is sweetened. But to reiterate what Moochie said, coconut isn't for induction, nor is peanut butter.

My latest love is a cup of pumpkin, 3 ozs cream cheese, a bit of pumpkin pie spice, splash o' vanilla & splenda to taste nuked for about 3 minutes then mixed together and topped with a pat of butter.

                              YUMMMMMMMM
