  • Doing Extended Induction & LUV in it!

Hello, I am new to this forum, but have been journaling in the journal forum since March 14th, I think.

I am on my 19th day of the Induction Phaze, and I feel terrific. I have great energy and my appetite has decreased greatly. I've done Atkins before so I know it works. After the birth of my 2nd child, I decided to start atkins when I was 100% committed to the lifestyle change. I love this way of eating b/c I tend to be an emotional eater and binger. This way of eating helps me to be in control of my eating. Plus, I just feel better eating this way.

Anyway, I can't wait until I reach my goal. 25lbs to go!

    Thanks for reading

I am glad you are enjoying induction eating, Kelly!

But dont make the mistake of staying on induction too long as you will need to work through the other phases of Atkins to retrain your body to be able to stay at goal once you reach it by eating at a maintenance level.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thank you. I only plan to do Induction for one more week. That would be a total of 4 weeks. And, then I plan to move to the next phaze. I know I will need help there. I have read the book, but I am in the process of re-reading to freshen up on things. Once, I move to the next phaze, I will definitely need a lot of imput and advice. Induction has always been easy for me, due to the fact, you see results so quickly. The good news is that I love veggies and I stay away from bread and potatoes for the most part. But, I have this sweet tooth that I am terribly afraid of, especially when I am anxious or upset. At those times, I must be very aware and in the present moment, otherwise, I fall down and binge big time.

Thanks again for your encouraging words.

Re: Doing Extended Induction & LUV in it!

I had a rough afternoon and evening yesterday. But, I am doing better this morning. I made myself go to the gym and even though I did my normal work out, I must admit I didn't push myself. I slept soundly last night. I think I was just extremely tired. Anyway, the good news is I do feel a little better today.

This is my last week on Induction. After Sunday, I move to OWL.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day to all.
