  • Too much cheese

I think I might have to give up cheese...I just eat too much of it (more than 4 oz) and I think it's stalling me If I don't buy it, I won't eat it right?

What about cream cheese...does that count in the same "cheese" category? I tried the mock danish this weekend, if I have more than one is that a bad idea?

Just trying to figure out how to kick these bad habits...I really want to lose the pounds!

    Thanks...
    Lisa

    Re: Too much cheese

Cheese is known to stall some people. I have a problem with portion control. Other people don't have a problem with it at all. We are all different!

Cream cheese does fall into the cheese category. I could eat my weight in cream cheese!

Congratulations on your loss so far! You're doing great!

      Re: Too much cheese

I wouldn't go for more than one a day if you're puting in 2 oz. per "danish". I love cheese. To control myself I buy the snack bags with the 1 oz wrapped cheddars, etc. They're a little more expensive than buying a block, but it works for me. Maybe if you find other ways to add fat into your meals it would keep you more satisfied without the cheese. Cook with oil and butter, and when you have a meal, mix your protein with fat and carbs. I find myself eating things alone, like just an egg, or just cheese and that really makes me hungrier. When I prepare a dish with a few ingredients i feel much more satisfied.

Cheese is limited during Induction to 3-4 ounces. Cream cheese counts towards that cheese limit.

            Re: Too much cheese

Thanks everyone for your replies...I am seriously considering getting a food scale that measures in ounces. That way I'll know exactly how much cheese/cream cheese I am eating. For hard cheese, I can put them in baggies after measuring for the days I decide to eat cheese.

Great idea. Everytime I try to eyeball something, I usually estimate too high. Way to stay committed!
