  • Vegetable count and Salmon??

    Hello,

I just bought some fresh greenbeans at the store. I had about 2 cups of romaine lettuce, so does that mean I can have 1 cup of the greenbeans for dinner?

Plus, I also bought a nice piece of salmon at the store and I was wondering if anyone had some really good tips of how to cook it.

    Thanks for all advice,

    Kelly

Oh, I love salmon!! Take the fillet, wrap it in bacon, with on pat of butter, sprinkle some dill and sqeeze one lemon wedge on it. Wrap in foil and bake until the bacon in cooked and the salmon is flaky. YUMMY!!!!!!
What would we do without it?

If you dont want to chop them into smaller pieces to fit in a cup you can use the large measuring jug method.
Take a large measuring jug and put water in it up to the one cup measure. Then add beans till the water reaches the 2 cup measure line.
You now have one cup of water plus one cup of beans. Drain the beans and if you prefer to use weigh measuring scales weigh those beans and you know for the future how heavy one cupsworth of beans weighs.

Or go to the USDA website and look to see how heavy they reckon one cup of beans is.
