  • Seeing RESULTS and STILL tempted!!!???

    I did flub up yesterday ... just went off and ate oatmeal ("reduced sugar") for breakfast and then spaghetti for dinner! Ugh!

    My stupid husband (yes, I called him "stupid" - sue me! lol but he knows better!!) made a yellow cake with cream cheese icing and cherries on top last night while I was sleeping. Got up this morning and ... THERE IT WAS in the refrigerator! Was I able to let it there and NOT take a little piece??? NOPE! Sure wasn't!

    But, after that this morning, I'm doing much better today and haven't ate anything "bad" since. I finally got into a pair of pants I haven't been able to fit into for almost two months so ... to mess up badly and not rebound would NOT be good. So, again, I go back on it. Ugh. It's SO SO SO SO SO hard!

    Tonight for dinner, pork chops, salad, and green beans. For dessert, sugar-free jellow with heavy cream whipped w/ splenda. Then, I'll pack a lunch for tomorrow and make a breakfast ahead of time ...

    I don't know WHY I just feel like quitting when I see results. Obviously, I've failed somewhere along the lines being that I'm still having cravings.

    I'm sooo sorry you are having troubles Yup those darn Husbands LOL.

    You can do it what was your trigger How long have you been on this WOE it took me a good 5 months to get to where I didn't crave stuff any more but when that happens it's amazing and you will be sooo PROUD you made it that far. There is always gunna be stuff that tempts us and that we think tastes good or will make us feel better but in the end Does it really taste that good or does it really make us feel better. NO it doesn't if anything we feel worse and more like we don't want to any more. You can do it clean your slate and don't look back take with this a new understanding and a new experience you can and will do it if you want to it's totally inside you the success is staring you in the eye the only one stopping you is you.

    I'm here with ya and I know you can do it.

      You didn't fail, the cravings still can come and go. I know very well taht you can be doing great, getting awesome results and still derail. The ugly truth? It is HARD to stop taking little bites of this and that or rationalizing that a meal/day/week off won't kill you. Get clean now...that's my #1 piece of advice....cause it doesn't get easier!

        Eating fats helps with the cravings. I start every morning with three strips of bacon and a 16 oz. bottle of water. If I find myself wanting something bad, I eat some pepperoni, bacon, a teaspoon of cream or butter, and it passes.

          Well, tell that DH to stop making cakes!!! I am glad my DH can't cook. LOL
          Ok, you messed up but you are here. Tomorow is another day, and you can make it a great day by sticking to Induction. Just tell yourself its 2 weeks, then 2 weeks more, and before you know it you will be on OWL almost ready for pre-maint!!! You are worth it, but cake is not. You are a beautiful person who deserves to be healthy, thin, and happy. Once you start to believe that (I do believe that about you), it gets easier. Talk yourself INTO being thin and healthy, not into 'one more bite won't hurt'. Please keep us posted on how you are doing, we are all pulling for you!!!

            Does your DH have a list of what foods you are allowed to eat on induction? If not perhaps you need to print one off for him to follow.
            He could have made you a flax cake or one of the 'legal' cheesecake recipes that abound on this and other boards, so you could have eaten it without guilt!
            Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

              OH I know -.- This is so my biggest fault. Just a few weeks ago my sister got the most YUMMIEST piece of cake in the world. I took a bite of it just to chew it up and spit it back out XD

              It was so tempting to just swallow it and share it with her...

              But you can't rationalize You have to stick to what you know is right! I know you can do it

                I have to say I think the reason you are still having cravings is foods like sugar free jello ..if you just stop with the sweeteners for 10 days or so and see what happens you maybe be able to have a cake in the frig and not care ...just a idea..good luck
