  • Ketone Stips

    Does it matter if you have trace, small, moderate, or large amounts of ketones. I seem to always have small to moderate amount per the ketone strip. I have only been in the large amount maybe 2 times. Just wondering???

    According to most the guru's on this site, you either are or your not. Meaning if you show just a little bit then you are in ketosis. There are also a lot of variables that can affect your strip anyway.

        I have never used one, and I have lost 20 pounds. All they test for is fat, and it can't tell the difference between the fat in your diet and the fat you are burning off your body. Don't worry about those strips, just follow the rules and you will be shrinking in no time!
        What would we do without it?

            Okay, and I agree with you as far a not worring about those strips, but it is fun to do just to see if you are in the purple.

              I don't know if I agree with that. Think I could fill up on some good fattening taco bell and the strips wouldn't show ketosis.

                Atkid she mean the dietary fats and the body stored fats not fattening foods in the diet.
                sticks can't tell what was the source of those ketones nor if you are gaining or losing weight. you can eat 10 pounds of butter a day and have lovely purple color and gain weight
