  • Still going strong...

    Hi all,

Just reading through some of the posts here..WOW what a great place to come and vent, proclaim or just simply find answers.

I am hoping I can put in my dollar's worth, so here goes....

I started this WOE on Jan 1 2006. As with all New Years Resolutions I was wondering when the whole thing would fall apart.

Well, i am typing this on 9 April 2006 AND I AM STILL GOING STONG!!
Believe me... I am amazed seeing my fingers typing that on this laptop.

I have lost 17kg (sorry, you may have to work out the conversion into pounds) in this time. Again - I have just looked at that figure, and I am shocked. Me? Lost weight? Well, i have.

Well, my dollars worth is this:
    1. Consistancy and Patience (just keep going, just keep going - it is SO hard to keep it going sometimes, but it is really worth the long walk)
    2. No rough stuff (Keep away from the mock tortilla chips, mock bread, false rice - all that stuff - Stick to natural meats, vegs, salads etc..it is all rough stuff..oh and WATER and then some MORE WATER, and then a little bit MORE WATER)
    3. Have faith (the results WILL happen - everyone is different, it make take months or years BUT IT WILL HAPPEN - I should rephrase that.. IT HAS TO HAPPEN!!!)

You hear about so many weight loss stories on this board. And believe me, my first day back on Jan 1, I thought that i could never do it. Well, there are many on this board that HAVE lost weight...

And I am proud to say I am one of them.

    And so will you.

    Peace
    hydra

What a great post!!! Thank you for sharing your story, you are a great example of how this WOL works!! I am so glad you stick with fresh foods, and not that low-carb junk!!
I really believe that is a key point in being successful in this journey to get thin and healthy. Good for you!!
What would we do without it?

    Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!

Started this WOL on Feb. 13, 2006.
