  • 1st week of extended induction finished

    Hi All

I've finished my 3rd week of Atkins and I have lost 2 lbs this week making a grand total of 9 lbs - which I am over the moon about!!

I've stuck to the plan 100% - I've been trying to alternate my vegetables so I dont get fed up of salad!! I'm totally in love with rhubarb - and you do get quite a nice portion size for your 1 cup!! I buy it frozen from my local supermarket then cook it in the microwave with a little bit of water - then sprinkle with splenda - its delicious!!

I've tried a couple of the recipes from here and have really enjoyed them!! especially the cream cheese with the cocoa and splenda!! mmm!! I only make a very small amount of this as I find it very rich - but it just hits the spot - especially when its "girly time of the month"!!!!!

My only downfall over the last 3 weeks has been exercise!! I've not had any time to do any as my dad has been in hospital and I visited him every night - but he's out now so I'll be heading off to the gym, or dusting down my stairclimber in the garage!!! I did ask my husband if he would move my stairclimber to the bedroom - but he said the ceiling would probably give way!!! I presume he meant the weight of the machine and not me!! hehe!!

    Think thin everyone

Re: 1st week of extended induction finished

        Hi

Sunflowergirl - I think I could well be coming onto the first rung in a couple of weeks - I'm liking the thought of more rhubarb!! mmm Can I stick at say rung 1 for a couple of weeks before moving onto the next one?

used2be - dont get disheartend - I've read lots of posts on here about weight stalls - just stick with it!! My scales were not moving at all at the beginning of the week, but at the end they finally decided to shed 2 lbs!!! I've always found on any diet I have at least 1 in 4 four weeks when I dont lose a thing!! Its our bodies just adjusting to things! I'm trying to alternate my foods all the time, so my body doesn't get used to just chicken and salad!!! Plus I'm making sure I drink all my water!! Just think positive - I know you can do it - just think about your lovely beaches in the summer and the fantastic bikinis and costumes you'll be able to wear or all the shopping you'll have to do for your new figure!!! thats the thought that keeps me going!!!

        bye for now
